Description

Large (90 cm tall) antique 19th century Chinese/Tibetan statue of Buddha, c1890. This is an imposing piece with real presence and highly decorative. It is well carved with good form and composition. The detail to the features is fine and the original paint has weathered beautifully to give it a great colour. Overall condition is good with just the right amount of wear/ 'distress' to the paint and only a few very minor chips to the wood. All very much as you would expect from a piece of this age.
