Description

Fine quality large 19th century Chinese bronze brush pot, c 1850. It is beautifully cast and intricately decorated with immortals ,monkeys, tree of life, Buddha and similar motifs. There are character marks to the base and it has aged beautifully with great patina consistent with years of handling and use. There is oxidation/verdigris marking to the inside of the pot which is to be expected from an older bronze . Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear in line with age and use.
