Description
An antique 19th Century oil on board painting, c1880. The painting is nicely composed and executed, and depicts a typical Victorian scene of a disconsolate young boy mourning his dead pet bird. We cannot see a signature. It has a great Victorian look.It is in good original condition with no obvious defects to the painting. The frame has a few small gaps around the corners and minor chips/losses around the edges - all very much as you would expect from something over 100 years old.
