Description

A large antique Chinese bronze and cloisonné lidded censer, c1870. This is a fine quality example, with great casting and decoration.

The enamel work is still bright and vibrant. The lid is topped with a lovely Fo Dog/Temple Lion finial, and it stands on three lion mask feet. The handles are beautifully stylised and decorated with enamel work.

It has aged well, with good colour/patina. Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear/rubbing - all very much as you would expect from a piece of this age.
