Description

Lovely example of a soldiers knife and leather sheath from the first Afghan conflict 1839-42. It has a lovely bone handle with characteristic shape from the region which is crudely marked 'Afghanistan' on one side and 'Kandahar' on the other. The knife is still incredibly sharp and has the characteristic blade shape from the region. Overall condition is good with minor wear / marking to the knife and to the sheath etc. There are nice brass embellishments around the hilt.An interesting piece of military history. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
