Description

Large early 20th.c. leather steamer chest or trunk by the Paris makers Malles Lavolaille c.1910. Arch top trunk fitted inside with two removable trays. Beautiful original tooled leather covers with large brass studs. Mounted with a brass plaque named for Mme Coullet, with large leather carry handles at the sides, original brass catches (stamped with the company’s Paris address) and iron castors. Original paper label inside the lid. Obvious wear to the leather but lovely colour and character. Please note one of the handles has been repaired so we recommend they are not now used for moving the trunk.
Dimensions: width 40″, depth 22″, height 28″.
