Here we have a wonderfully designed Art Deco Walnut desk formerly of the Bodleian Library Oxford University c1925. As you can see the desk has great colour and patina. The desk has fantastic form and whilst being heavy and solid has kept the elegance of the Art deco period. There is an original leather top with Walnut border. There are two drawers below with unmistakeable Art Deco ribbed handles. The drawers are Mahogany lined with hand cut dovetail joints. The top lifts off from the base for ease of moving. The base has solid flanks again finished in Walnut and the there are sledge feet finished in Rosewood. A super period desk of ample proporations in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 153 cm wide 91 cm deep 77 cm high.
