Description

Clockwise is delighted to present for your consideration another fine Victorian English eight day fusee timepiece. Being of octagonal design and finished in a lovely mahogany with a decorative brass border around the viewing window and scrolling carved ears flanking the sides the impressive-sized and well-proportioned case has a lovely rich sheen and is of a standard two piece pegged construction. The original cast bezel complete with domed glass locks firmly and frames the twelve inch dial within the turned surround perfectly. Original pierced hands provide the finishing touch. The maker's name is present - W. Smallbone and Son, Portsmouth - unusually scrolling around within the inner dial. The lower door retains its original working lock and there is also a side inspection door to the case.

The eight day high quality movement has just been serviced with new wire fitted and comes with my three year worldwide guarantee as standard.

Clockwise specialises in longcase and bracket clocks and with clients from the world of business, film, sport, royalty and aristocracy - yet more than happy with traditional clients - Clockwise has an unrivalled reputation for excellence and superb service.
