A fine pair of French 15 bore percussion, rifled officers pistols by BERTHON PERRIN, AIX EN PROVENCE. circa 1830. with the numbers 1 and 2 on the breeches and both inlaid with platinum lines, having 8 and 1/4 inch barrels, border engraved tangs which incorporate the rear sights, Signed bevelled locks engraved with thunderbolts and also border ornament.Set triggers,Full wallnut stocks carved with foliage at the tangs, finely chequered butts with reblued engraved steel mounts comprising of spurred trigger guards with neo-classical urn finials two piece side-plates, butt caps and rear ramrod-pipes ensuite, silver barrel bolt escutcheons, horn fore end caps, and each with bone tipped ramrod. In original fitted walnut case lined in green baize and complete with brass mounted horn flask, turnscrew and bullet mould. In near perfect condition well cared for and a fine pair of French pistols by a renown French maker.
