Circa 1900

Description

An Arts & Crafts Cotswold School oak chest of 4 drawers. Designed by Peter Waals and made by final year handicraft students under the direction of Edward Barnsley in the 1930s for Hazlerigg Hall (now part of Loughborough University). The chest has its original turned and facetted handles and is beautifully constructed with exposed dovetails and through tenons.

Offered in very good refinished condition. All drawers run remarkably smoothly.
