Description

19th century British 1856 pattern saw-back pioneers' sword. Marked as by Wilkinson, London. Solid brass hilted dated 1896 3 H.L.I (3rd Highland Light Infantry). Has a saw-back heavy blade and is in a brass mounted, black leather scabbard. Generally sound condition but splitting and braising to top brass mount.

Approximately 70cm overall and blade 57cm.
