Description

Victorian 1845 pattern Infantry Officer's sword in steel scabbard. Gothic brass hilt with copper wire bound shagreen grip. Slightly curved, single edged blade marked as by Buckmaster. Acid etched with foliage and VR cipher to both sides of blade. General wear to blade and has been field sharpened but is firm to hilt. Steel scabbard has no dents but there is some pitting.

Approximately 97cm overall and blade 80cm.
