Description

French circa 1790 Brass basket hilted sword. Note there is no scabbard. Has a brass scroll guard with helmeted pommel and ribbed leather grip (wire missing). Broad, slightly curved, single fullered blade. Pitting overall. A rare sword but has lots of age wear.

Approximately 91cm overall and blade length 75cm.
