Description

Late 19th Century large Chinese Jian sword in scabbard. Has a two piece engraved bone grip with carved scenes of both side. Heavily embossed brass mounts and green shagreen covered scabbard (end shape missing). Broad double edged blade inlaid with silver wire, decorated with figures and Chinese symbols. This large sword was probably made for export. Generally in good condition.

Approximately 111cm overall and blade 83cm.
