Description

City of London Yeomanry Trooper Cavalry sword in scabbard. Issued in 1901 for use in the Boar Wars. Has a steel bowl guard with ribbed ebony grip and stamped 2, C L Y and 241. With a single edged, tapering blade which is acid etched Hamburger, Rogers & Co, London in a panel. Blade probably very slightly shortened with some small edge nicks. Stel scabbard with two large hanging rings stamped 2, C L Y and 43. In generally used condition with chip to ebony grip and some denting to scabbard.

Approximately 106cm overall and blade 86cm.
