Description

British 1853 pattern Pioneer sidearm in it's original brass mounted leather scabbard with a German made blade. Has a ribbed brass hilt with a brass stirrup guard. There is a broad sawback blade which is marked with an issue mark of a 1 and a broad arrow and German Makers marks of B & M inside a bow and arrow mark. Hilt is marked with 4, P, 96. To of scabbard is marked 4/03, 1, 2, NR.

In good solid but used condition. Very slight bend to tip of blade.

Approximately 71.5cm overall and blade 57cm.
