Description

Presentation Durham Artillery sword in it's original scabbard and dated 1901. Steel three bar hilt with a silver wire bound shagreen grip. Scabbard is in engraved 'Presented to Lt R.G.M. Johnson from his brother officers July 1901'. Has a slightly curved acid etched blade. Etched with Artillery wings, cannon, flaming ball and Durham Artillery. Marked as by Hobson & Sons 1,3 & 5 Lexington St London. Numbered on the spine no. 101241. Has some original finished to blade but generally lightly rust stained overall. No dents to scabbard. The sword is in solid condition.

Approximately 109.5cm overall and blade 89cm.
