Description

1822 pattern French Light Cavalry sword in its original steel scabbard. Has a three bar cast brass hilt with a brass wire bound leather grip. Hilt has various stamps and is numbered 2143. Scabbard is also marked 2143. Curved, single fullered, single edged blade. Marked on back strap with the place of manufacture, model number and the date of 1882. In good condition overall with slight age wear.

Approximately 111cm overall and blade 92cm.
