Description

18th century steel hilted Tulwar in its original fabric covered wooden scabbard strapped with silver braid work. Has a fairly plain, shaped steel hilt and a fullered, curved, single edge blade. There is an engraved cartouche on the blade with Indian script. Blade has quite a lot of original finish but with some rust staining and is sound in the hilt. Some damage to the end of the scabbard.

Approximately 86cm overall and blade 72cm.
