A striking Bronze sculpture of an Officer on Horseback, after John Rattenbury Skeaping RA (1901-1980).

This beautifully cast bronze features an Officer on horseback, of the 17th Regiment of the Light Dragoons (Lancers) - indicated by the Soldier’s Helmet emblem and the markings on his saddle. He is sitting tall with his sword in a ready position, his empty sheath sat upon his left leg.

The bronze is mounted over a marble socle, and features the signature 'J R Skeaping', after the original equine artist.
