Bronze 'Two Girls Picking Flowers' Auguste Moreau

Description
A wonderful bronze casting by renowned French sculptor Auguste Louis Mathurin Moreau (1834-1917).This fabulous study depicts two young Campagnardes, arm in arm. One bears a basket of flowers on her arm, the other holds a loose flower in her hand. The flowers show a natural red and green patina, as do the dresses that adorn the two subjects. The level of impeccable detail carried throughout the sculpture makes this an incredibly interesting study from all angles.
Signed 'Auguste Moreau' on the bronze base, which is situated over a round marble socle.
