A striking early 19th century, percussion cap, Officer's Pistol, by E. Bond, Cornhill, London.

A beautiful example of an Officer's Pistol, featuring the 'E. Bond' maker's mark on the side of the barrel. The Bond family name was significant in gun making, with founder William Bond retiring his role in 1776 and Edward Bond being active between 1800 - 1830.

This fine display piece is 14 inches overall (36cm), and features a stunning 9 inch (23cm), sighted .6 calibre, Damascus barrel, behind which a full walnut stock with a beautifully worn chequered grip is situated.
