Description

In General
A stunning still life original oil painting on board by celebrated, four-time Royal Academy of Arts exhibitor, British Artist, Raymond Campbell. The painting is known as "Orange and Nut".

Raymond Campbell is a famous British artist and is arguably one of the most successful still life painters working in the UK today. His work is highly sought after and sells for high prices around the world. He was born in 1956 and became a professional painter at the young age of 22. He travelled the world studying the techniques of other artists and especially the 17th Century Dutch Old Masters.

The influence of the 17th Century Dutch Masters is at the heart of his still life paintings - rich and luxurious scenes full of hyper realistic and precise painting techniques! His paintings provide the viewer with an incredible sensory experience -  the orange oozes ripeness

Raymond Campbell has found international success throughout his career. He is a published artist, with many of his original paintings available as both limited edition and open edition prints. His work has been exhibited at the Mall Galleries and at the Royal Academy’s prestigious annual Summer Exhibition in 1992, 1993, 2013 and 2014. He has also exhibited at The Mall Galleries, London and his work can be found in many international private collections, including the USA, Australia and across Europe. His work has been widely exhibited including at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists  - as well as major exhibitions all over the world and particularly in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
