here I have a heavily carved oak grandfather clock with a 3 weight musical movement, it has a very ornate arched dial brass face with a chime/silent dial, it chimes on gongs, the works would benefit from a clean although we have had the clock working ( I have allowed for this in the price ).
As you will see in the pictures the case is very well carved and in great condition.
This clock is from a local house in the Scottish borders where I'm told it has been there for 80 years.
The retail price of this exhibition quality and musical clock is in the region of £4K to £5K .

The no-haggling price for this clock is £2200 which I know is a good price for an outstanding clock of this quality.
I date this clock at around 1880/90 late Victorian.
