This is a wonderful walnut bureau bookcase in the 17th century style ,this was made in the 1970s and has been in the same home since purchased,
The quality is outstanding and the condition is very good,approx 50 years old and has been in a Scottish borders vicarage where it has been looked after very well.
As you will see the top is fitted with 38 drawers and a center cabinet,it has mirrors to the inside of the doors,under the doors are pull out slides ,the bureau has a fall front above 3 long serpentine shaped drawers ,the interior of the bureau if fitted with serpentine drawers ,
the base of the bureau is shaped and carved ,the figuring of the walnut is outstanding.
