Description
Lovely Antique George III Oak Chest on Chest with superb 'Tunbridge style ' Inlay and dating from aorund 1780. It has a cornice top above the fruitwood inlaid frieze and with two short drawers over three long graduating drawers. It has canted sides inlaid with fruitwoods and the base is moulded to the top above three long graduating drawers. All of the drawers are pine lined and with later brass handles. It stands on lovely bracket feet. The top removes for ease of transporting.A superb chest In very good condition with a lovely deep rich colour and patination to the quality walnut oozing all the charm and character of the period.
