Description

Antique 17th Century Geometric Oak Chest of Drawers and dating from around the time of James 11 and the English Restoration Period c1680. It has a plank top with moulded edge above two short drawers each having a secret spring catch to open them and above three graduating drawers. All of the drawers have geometric fronts with later turned oak knob handles and are oak lined. It is moulded to the base and stands on stile feet. The chest was originally made to separate for ease of transporting.


In very good condition with a lovely deep nut brown colour and patination to the oak oozing all the charm and character of the period.
Please note it is not as 'red' as the photographs show it to be.
