Description
Antique George 111 Country Oak Mule Chest / Coffer and dating from aorund 1780. It has a plank top with moulded edge above a plain frieze with origional brass lock escutcheon and two fielded panels and two fielded panelled drawer fronts to the base which are oak lined with original brass handles and lock escutcheons. It stands on a plinth base and has panelled sides and original rough hewn panelled back with original ironwork hinges and internally has a candle box.It is hand & Peg Joined.In very good condition with a lovely deep nut brown colour and patination to the oak oozing all the charm and character of the period.
