Description

Antique Victorian Oak Cylinder PEDASTAL Desk and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality oak it has a polished top with moulded edge above a cylinder front with cleated ends and centre panels with original turned knob handles . The top opens to reveal assorted pigeon holes and letter racks above four small drawers with Burr oak fronts and with original faux leather skiver. It stands on a Pedastal base with each Pedastal having four drawers all of which are oak lined with original brass handles. To the centre there is a long drawer which opens to reveal the original faux leather skiver which itself raises to reveal a storage compartment. The whole standing on a deep plinth base on castors.
The top removes for ease of transporting.
A quality desk.

Measures: 45" high to top x desk height 30" x 28" deep x 51" wide

In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
