Description
Antique Pair Victorian Oak Hall Settles or Benches and dating from around 1880. Constructed from solid oak they have a moulded top rail with turned finial to each side support above two moulded panels to the backrest and with scrolled armrests on turned supports. The seat has a moulded edge again with two moulded panels above a deep skirt and they stand on turned front legs and straight back legs joined by a shaped stretcher base.This lovely pair of Settles would also make wonderful seating for a country oak dining table.
In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak and oozes all the charm and character of the Period.
