Description

Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Bedroom Suite and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality mahogany it. Consists of a double wardrobe with secret compartment, a dressing table and bedside cabinet.
The wardrobe has a moulded cornice top with deep crossbanded frieze which is inlaid and strung with ebony. To each side is a bowed column with Adam style inlay of urns and swags. There are two shaped and beveled edge mirrored doors with ebony and satinwood stringing and internally it is all hanging. To the base there two deep drawers both of which are oak lined with brass handles and with satinwood and ebony stringing. The drawers are flanked on either side by a squared panel which is in fact a secret compartment. It stands on a plinth base and dismantles for ease of transporting.
Measures 85" high x 23" deep x 72" wide and internal depth 19"

The Dressing Table has a shaped and beveled mirror set within a Mahigany frame with fine stringing and stands on shaped supports above a serpentine shaped shelf with three small bow fronted jewellery drawers. The serpentine shaped table top has a moulded edge above a central bow fronted drawer with shaped frieze below and flanked on either side by two small drawers. All of the drawers are oak lined with brass handles and edged with ebony. It stands on long tapering legs on castors.

Measures 66" high to top of mirror x 32" high to table top x 20" deep x 48" wide
The matching bedside cabinet has a shaped gallery back with fine stringing and moulded ebony edge to the top above a single door with satinwood and ebony strung inlay and brass handle. It stands on squared tapering legs.
Measures 30" high x 16" deep x 15" wide


In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
