Description

Antique Edwardian Flamed Mahogany Secretaire Cabinet and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a high gallery back with shelf to the top with inlaid stringing and shaped sides leading to a flamed mahogany fall front with brass handles and cross banded edges with fine stringing. This opens to reveal two long and two short drawers all of which have fine stringing and brass handles and sit above a central door flanked on either side by two pigeon holes.
To the base there are two flamed mahogany doors with cross banded edges and oval panels to the centre with fine stringing and with escutcheon and working key. Internally there is a shelf. It stands on ogee bracket feet.
Measures 48" high to top x 26" high to writing surface x 15.5" deep x 27.5" wide


In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
