Description

Antique Victorian Mahogany Duchesse Dressing Table and dating from around c1860. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a shaped mirror set within a mahogany frame with carved cartouche to the top and with carved side supports. To the centre there is a serpentine shaped frieze top which opens to reveal a compartment. This is flanked on either side by a flight of three jewellery drawers all of which are mahogany lined with original small knob handles. The base has a serpentine shaped top with moulded edge above a deep cross banded frieze with a frieze drawer to the centre with carved motiffe and it stands on beautifully carved cabriole legs with scrolled feet on a deep shaped platform base on small bun feet.

Measures 70" high to top of mirror x 30" high to table top x 23" deep x 45" wide.

In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
