Antique Georgian Country Oak Rocking Chair c1780

Description
Antique George 111 Country Oak Rocking Chair and dating from around 1780. It has a shaped top rail above a pierced interlocking central back splat and with outsplayed armrests on turned supports. It has a dark brown leatherette drop in seat pad ( the pad having been recovered some time in the late 1800's) and which is in very good condition. It stands on squarted tapering legs with shaped rockers. It is hand and peg joined.Measures 36" high x seat height 17" x 20" deep x 23" wide
In very good condition with lovely deep colour and original patination and oozes all the charm and character of the period.
