Description

Antique French Set Six Elm & Fruitwood Farmhouse Chairs and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality Elm & Fruitwood there are five chairs and one Carver chair ( which is a true set of six as originally only the Man of the household would be seated with the elbow chair). Each chair has a shaped top rail with turned spindle supports to the back. The chairs have rush seats all of which are in very good condition. They stand on round tapering legs and are joined by turned stretchers. The carver chair has shaped armrests on turned supports.

Each chair measures 36" high x seat height 17" x 17.5" deep x 19" wide.
The carver measures36" high x seat height 17" x 19" deep x 24" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
