Description

Antique Victorian Walnut Sewing Work Box and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality walnut it has an inlaid oval shaped walnut top with moulded edge above a deep inlaid and shaped frieze with key escutcheon. This leads to a beautiful fretwork quad form support and turned carved central support standing on four shaped and carved legs. It opens to reveal a very nice velvet lined interior with a pierced fretwork lid to the centre well.

Measures 29" high x 16"deep x 20"wide

A Superb Antique Victorian Walnut Sewing Work Box and in very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
