Description

An impressive Black Forest cuckoo clock, very well carved with a figural cuckoo to top of clock, an ivy climbing up the sides from the woodland floor, depicted by a tree stump among boulders and foliage. c.1880's.

The spring-wound movement has an outside count wheel. The cuckoo, on twin bellows, calls on the hour and the passing of the half hour, accompanied by a strike on a coiled gong.

Height 20½ inches.

The photographs of the movement are prior to servicing. It will be overhauled and guaranteed for 3 years.
