A bold and impressive mid-Victorian period Scotch chest of drawers. Of very good construction in solid mahogany and attractive flame mahogany veneers. Of generous proportions and offered for sale in excellent original condition with a great colour and patina. Ample storage is afforded by a multitude of drawers. There is a drawer to the freeze and a further one to the plinth. The main body of the chest has 3 deep scroll fronted drawers sitting over an arrangement of 3 long graduated drawers (fitted with their charming original bun handles) . The drawers are flanked by turned columns surmounted by capitols and the whole chest sits on bun feet. This chest splits into 2 sections for ease of installation.
