Description

Description: Antique Louis Philippe fireplace in white Carrara marble from the early 19th century.

The front is punctuated by an architrave with a central foliate motif, and a mixtilinear top rests above.

The pilasters are slender and well-proportioned, framing the fireplace opening, lending rhythm and symmetry. They are embellished with leaves and scrolls typical of the style.

The cast iron fireplace mantelpiece is contemporary with the fireplace, following the contours of the marble and maintaining the same decorative scheme as the fireplace, with foliate motifs.
