Description
Superb 19th century english carved oak settle depicting scenes from aesops fable "fox & stork" the two shaped arm supports have carved ends, the frieze under the seat is carved. There are bobbin shaped stretchers supporting the legs. Colour and patination is fantastic. The back is finished with a finely carved crest rail. Upholstered seat is old but not original.DateMid 19th Century :
