Description

Mahogany Country House Table Top Post Box From the Early 20th Century. The post box has its original lock & key both of which are in working order.
The top is hexaganal with carved half moons around the edge with a central circle. The Brass shutter reads Letters & is also working. On the door is the postal charges ( a lot cheaper than today )
The working drawer would have been used for the postal stamps.
In the country house a set of postal scales would have stood next to the letter box so that correct postage could be determined.
An excellent addition to any home.
