A particularly large, top of the range, folding multi tool pocket knife by the esteemed Sheffield makers Wingfield Robotham. Measuring just about 6 inches in length, folded, and with well figured stag horn grips this weighty pocket knife has no less than ten tools.
Comprising - Large hoof pick with file - 4 1/2 inch saw blade - 4 1/4 inch main blade - 4 inch pairing blade stamped with maker's name - cork screw - screw driver - drill - bradawl - tweezers - spike.
Considering its 100 plus years of use this compendium knife is in remarkably good condition as well as one hundred percent complete - particularly of note are its fine and utterly undamaged stag horn grips..
Collectors tastes as to cleaning methods vary so we have left this piece strictly as found and although there is some marking due to light corrosion we are confident that, if desired this could be carefully improved upon. NB. The little tweezers and spike, which live within the handle, do have a degree of corrosion wasting - especially one of the tweezer's blades. Very much on the plus side however you will see that the blades retain their original form and unlike so many others which have been deformed by years of sharpening.
