Back painted picture of the recently sunk RMS Titanic measuring 6 by 6 inches. These naive images were produced at the time and often, like this one, were embellished with fragments of mother of pearl to to give a crude but effective simulation of the upper works being lit. Now well over a hundred years old this souvenir of one of the darkest days in peacetime maritime history has small amounts of paint loss as seen in the photos and would have almost certainly had paper or light card backing when new. Suitably framed it will display strikingly however.
