A rare find of a pair of vintage Arts and Craft curtains from the well known local property Coleton Fishacre. These were taken down some 40 years ago, around the time of its acquisition by the National Trust and stored by one of the members of the household's staff. His relative found them just recently. From the look of the lining and curtain hooks they had been hanging in the house for many years. They are fully lined with an old fashiuoned thermal lining, there is one small mended area in the lining. The pattern woven in is classic with Tree of life plants, camels, lions both male and female and a huntsman. There is one tiny pulled thread to one edge, see photo. Measurements are 8 ft drop by 2ft wide each curtain. There are 11 hooks set into very old rufflette tape.
These curtains will make a fantastic back drop to period furniture, keep your room warm and give great atmosphere. They are ready to hang!
