A delightful pair of little Georgian, semi naive, flatback, cast brass figures....retaining their original gilt finish with just the exception of one or two rubbed high spots. (as seen in photos). Each measures some 3 1/2 inches tall and with the exception of one fixing screw, which has been replaced at some time, on the figure of the boy and his dog, both are in super condition. Period mantle shelf ornaments such as these, especially a pair, are now rather rare but what attractive little accessories they make to complete a room furnished in early 19th century style.
