Description

A charming and good sized antique Victorian circular walnut foot stool dating from circa 1870. This attractive foot stool has moulded edges and is raised on four carved cabriole feet. The circular top is in its original horsehair upholstery which has been recently recovered in an oatmeal fabric and finished with matching braid. Foot stools like these were often designed to sit under and in between the legs of wingback armchairs.

Good condition, solid and sturdy frame with good colour and patina. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Clean fabric – newly recovered.
