Description

A large antique Victorian oval mirror later painted in an ebonised black painted finish dating from circa 1880. It has a moulded frame with ornate crests to the top and bottom featuring flowers foliage and shields. It retains its original mirror plate which is nicely aged, with slight foxing and loss of silvering. With original backing boards.

Painted wood/Gesso
Condition Report:
Wear and marks commensurate with age. The frame has been hand painted in Annie Sloan Athenian Black chalk paint and given a wax finish. Mirror plate is original with some general age related wear, light foxing and loss of silvering in places. With original backing boards. Some old mends to the delicate crests in places.
