Description

A stylish small Chinese camphor wood chest, carved with scenes of pagodas, figures and mountains and dating from circa mid-century. With attractively carved reliefs on the top and front it has carved shell handles to the sides and stands on shaped bracket feet. It features an original fancy brass latch and back plate to the lid and lifts on a brass arm. Inside, the chest is clean and it is lined with camphor wood with its distinctive aroma. A good size, not too big, it would make a great blanket chest, storage box or could be used as a decorative coffee table or TV stand.
