A charming late 19th century burr walnut lamp, or side, table in the William and Mary style. Of very good construction in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers onto an oak carcas. The rectangular top is cross banded and inset with inlaid panels and profusely decorated with elaborate pen and ink work floral detailing. This detailing continues to the drawer front and under-tier. With a single drawer to the freeze fitted with its original solid brass drop handles. All standing on splendid bold barley twist legs , terminating in bun feet and united by a wavy form x frame under stretcher. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition with a warm colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
