This is a large Japanese bear shown pinning a salmon to a rock with its front paws on an integral base all finely carved from a single piece of timber. The bear has a black finish which has rubbed in places exposing the pale wood underneath. It has a waxed lustrous finish.

Height 33 cm
Weight 4.1 kg

Condition: Excellent with some wear from handling as you would expect from a 50 plus year old carving. There are some fine, shallow shrinkage cracks on the back of the bear which are stable and do little to detract from this wonderful carving.

He can deliver to most places on mainland England and Wales and, depending on where he is on his schedule, it may take a few days or up to 4 weeks. Other couriers are available for Scotland and North Wales or where a shorter time frame is required. Purchases can also be collected in person from the Tunbridge Wells area in SE England.
